Skyview Shelties was named after the Winter Aurora's and Summer Solstice that Interior Alaska is best known for. We have endless days of summer light with a Solstice on June 21st where we experience no dusk nor dawn. The most spectacular Aurora's in the world are captured here on film in the winter months.

Skyview Shelties began with our first show sheltie in 1999. After owning German Shepherds and Collies my husband and I researched a breed that was smaller, more versatile with less temperament and health issues. We found our love in the beauty and intelligence of the Shetland Sheepdog where we began our kennel together.

We carefully chose our foundation shelties, purchased them from reputable breeders as puppies and took them to their AKC Championships ourselves. Their outstanding qualities were sought to improve the temperament, structure and soundness of Shetland Sheepdogs. We test for Hips, Eyes, Vwd and Thyroid and are clear for many generations. All puppies come with a two year health guarantee and occasionally we have young adults available. We strive to continue to work with lines that are clear of congenital diseases that can be tested for and we are proud of each and every sheltie that we place.
